and as Missions & Charities Officer. Margaret was the LAOH
Chair for the NY State Convention in Albany as well as the
Registration Chair for two other State Conventions. Furthermore,

benefited from Margaret’s flair with the computer.

Margaret has served in most offices on the County and Division
level; and is a Suffolk County Past President. As a Past President
of Division 2, Margaret remains a vital contributor to the many
achievements of that Division. She has chaired and co-chaired
numerous successful events including dances, memorial masses,
and fundraisers. Margaret is an active member of the Suffolk
County Celtic Degree Team.

With roots in Galway and Roscommon, Margaret hails originally
from the well-known community of Brooklyn. As her daughters
grew up on Long Island, Margaret was active in CYO, a Class
Mother, Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Leader. An active
member of St. Matthews Parish in Dix Hills, Margaret has
volunteered by creating liturgical banners, and worked on
liturgical vestments and its Rosary Alter Society.

Using her Accounting Degree from Pace University, Margaret
currently owns and operates a tax and accounting business. In
addition her love of crafts is reflected in her successful knitting
and embroidery business.

Margaret is a dedicated Hibernian, respected community
member, and a proud wife, mother and grandmother of five.
Mary Hogan, National Catholic Action Officer, has served the
LAOH on many levels including National Webmaster (2004-
2006), NYS Catholic Action Officer, Webmaster/Public
Relations Chair, her County & Division President. While serving

John Hogan and Dorothy Atchison; she is one of 13 children.
Her Great Grandparents immigrated from Ireland and Germany;
all of them came to this country for a better way of life. Mary has
been employed at Verizon Communications for the past 28
years. Mary is proud of her Irish and German Heritage, she has
been instrumental in creating and displaying history exhibits at her
local library, bank and the Tara festival in Brooklyn.

She is a member of the LAOH, Division Six, Greenpoint
Brooklyn, NY. In 2004, Mary was honored to represent
Brooklyn as an Aide To The Grand Marshal of the NYC St.
Patrick's Day Parade. In February 2006 Mary was the recipient
of the prestigious St. Brigid Award. This award is given by the
Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians to a sister who best
exemplifies their motto of "Friendship, Unity, and Christian
Charity." She was the Co-Chair of the "Brooklyn Irish American
Parade" and is a member of the Commodore John Barry Club of
Brooklyn.

Mary is a member of St. Mary's Parish in Staten Island, NY and

need at all stages of life whether it be protecting the unborn,
donating your time, money or collecting items it is imperative that
we all get involved on some level. She believes that being a
Hibernian allows her to be involved on many levels.
New York State Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians  is proud to offer our
